Located at Kalihiwai, on the North side of the island of Kauai, between Kilauea and Princeville; the house is quiet, cool and comfortable, yet only minutes away from shopping, beaches, snorkeling, surfing, swimming and one of the finest golf courses in the state.
WATERSPORTS
The secluded golden sands of Kalihiwai Bay lie beneath the property’s
spectacular cliff side location. The crystal-clear waters of Kalihiwai and neighboring
Hanalei Bay provide the perfect opportunity to enjoy a host of exciting watersports
including scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, swimming, surfing, and bodyboarding.
Both Kalihiwai Bay and Hanalei Bay are well known surf spots with excellent surf conditions during Hawaii’s winter months. Good waves for beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers are available, weather and elements permitting, September through early May.
Kauai’s diverse reef formations feature a spectacular underwater playground, especially during the summer months. On the north shore, additional sites such as Makua Beach ("Tunnels") and Cannons Reef offer lava tubes and archways at depths ranging from 30 to 60 feet for scuba divers, while Anini Beach features nice reef formations for the snorkelers.
HORSEBACK RIDING
Seeing the beauty of the
Garden Isle as the Hawaiian cowboys "paniolo" did is truly an experience not
soon forgotten. The Pooku Stables in Hanalei offer a variety of guided trail rides, each
presenting equally beautiful scenery.
Whether you choose a trot along the pristine shoreline, a gallop across spectacular Princeville Ranch to the edge of Hanalei Valley, or a leisurely ride to a waterfall for a picnic, the breathtaking sights will provide a lasting memory. GOLF
Princeville is primarily
about golf. It established a worldwide reputation as the premier
master-planned destination resort around tow of Hawaii’s most beautiful golf courses.
The 27-hole Makai golf course and the 18-hole Prince course are located here. Both courses
were designed by Robert Trent Jones. The Prince course is rated the number one course in
Hawaii by "Golf Digest Magazine".
KILAUEA LIGHTHOUSE
The State of Hawaii’s northernmost point is the site of Kilauea Lighthouse and
Wildlife Refuge, located approximately two miles from Kalihiwai. This location offers some
of the most breathtaking views of Kauai’s coastline and the Pacific Ocean. The
surrounding area and cliffs have been declared a seabird sanctuary and have become a haven
for more than eight species of seabirds including snowy terns, spiketailed shearwaters,
and the blue-faced boobies, whose amusing antics and graceful flights provide visitors
with an added attraction.

REFUND POLICY:
A refund of deposits will be made if the reservation is canceled 30 days prior to arrival, less a $25 cancellation fee.
